Pei-Chun Shih is a dedicated graduate student specializing in Chinese Pedagogy at Indiana University. With a strong passion for teaching, Pei-Chun has dedicated herself to the field of language education, bringing eight years of teaching experience to her current role. Her research interests are deeply rooted in Chinese Pedagogical Grammar, Second Language Acquisition, and enhancing Student Motivation.
Before joining Indiana University, Pei-Chun enriched her teaching portfolio by instructing English in Taiwan for six years. Currently, she holds the position of Chinese Associate Instructor at Indiana University, where she teaches both first-year and third-year Chinese courses. Additionally, Pei-Chun has contributed to the university's summer immersion program, further demonstrating her commitment to language education.
Her master's research focuses on the phenomenon of language anxiety in Chinese learning, a topic that has sharpened her awareness of individual differences among students and influenced her teaching philosophy. Through her research and teaching experiences, Pei-Chun aims to continue enhancing her skills in practical Chinese teaching methods, aspiring to empower her students and make significant contributions to the field of Chinese pedagogy.
