I received a B.A. in East Asian Studies from Akita International University, Japan, and I am currently a first year Master's student majoring in Japanese Pedagogy. I have always been fascinated by teaching Japanese traditional/contemporary culture to people from around the world, and I firmly believe that teaching a language has the potential to break barriers between nations and peoples. I aspire to work as a Japanese language educator who can contribute to promoting cross-cultural understanding among people from different backgrounds. Through my Master's journey, I would like to research utilization of authentic material to maximize the effects of language acquisition, maintaining motivation and cross-cultural interactions. I am also interested in exploring effective methods for online teaching, which has become new normal in the post-pandemic era.
